Women

The Women’s Ministry seeks to glorify God through studying the word of God, supporting the Pastor’s vision, working with the other ministries of the Church, exemplifying our love for one another and expanding our outreach to women beyond the walls of Deer Park First Baptist Church. It is organized into 4 chapters that accomplish the mission, purpose, and goals of our Women’s Ministry. Below you will find ways you can join in with our women through Study, Service, Social, and Support. DPFBC Women's Ministry Leadership Team

Study

Bible Study is the foundation of the Women’s Ministry. The Study Chapter oversees Women’s Life Groups and advocates for biblical teaching and theology through each aspect of Women’s Ministry. The Study Chapter starts new and seasonal Women’s Life Groups as the ministry grows and expands, and assists Women’s Life Group Teachers as they choose resources for meetings. If you are interested in starting a new Bible Study group or would like to get involved in an existing group, contact one of our Study Chapter Directors.

God calls us to serve others. In doing so we are given opportunities to grow and share His love for others. Christian fellowship happens automatically when we are serving. The Service Chapter oversees and advocates for all one-time and ongoing service opportunities in the Women’s Ministry. If you have an idea or passion that you would like the Women’s Ministry to get involved in or would like to get plugged-in to our current service opportunities, contact the Service Chapter Director.

Our Women’s Ministry will head up Reading Pals, volunteers who read with students at school once a week.

Social

Socializing with other women in our church and community gives us an opportunity to develop relationships and encourage one another, thus fostering unity in the church body. The Social Chapter oversees and advocates for Women’s events, retreats, socials, and conferences that help accomplish our mission, purpose, and goals. If you have an idea for, would like to volunteer to help with, or would like information about an event, retreat, social, or conference, please contact the Social Chapter Director.

The Support Chapter is in charge of contacting Women’s Ministry visitors and helping them get plugged-in to a Life Group and/or any upcoming events or programs, checking in on ladies we have not seen, and keeping track of the spiritual and physical health of the group so that we can provide meals, counseling, prayer, or even group support when needs arise.
