KIDS

Thank you for your interest in our Children’s Ministry at Deer Park First. Here at DP First, we want to partner with parents to lay a spiritual foundation that encourages children to discover and embrace a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. We provide a combination of age-directed learning opportunities and intergenerational learning opportunities in order to assist parents in the discipleship of their children. We have regularly scheduled programs for your children and preschoolers on Sunday Mornings and Evenings and Wednesday Evenings along with many other exciting events.

 

SUNDAYS

Sunday School groups (age/developmentally divided classes) give children the chance to learn on their level, build relationships with their peers, and to see Christianity modeled through their teachers. We focus on teaching children biblical truths, and then applying them to their lives.
Wiggle Worship is for birth through 5-year-olds during the 10:30 worship service. During their time with us they sing, wiggle, learn, and play. We ask that parents of preschoolers sign up to serve on our monthly/bimonthly rotation.
PowerHouse is DP First’s Children’s Church for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade. We sing and dance to praise songs, play fun games that reinforce the Bible story, and watch silly skits and videos.
Children’s Choir is an opportunity for children to learn to worship the Lord through song, lead and serve using their gifts and talents, and experience His Word through a time of devotional and games. We warm up our voices, break up into small groups, and rotate through different rooms practicing songs we plan to sing for the congregation during worship. Children’s Choir meets on Sunday evenings.
 

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

TeamKID is designed for kids in Discipleship! It features Bible memory games and application of Bible truths, engaging missions activities, and fun activity-based learning all while helping your children and preschoolers grow to be more like Jesus. TeamKID meets on Wednesday evenings.

Vacation Bible School:

Our 2019 VBS is June 24th-28th from 6-9pm for 3-year-olds through completed 5th grade.

A 4 day, 3 night event for students who have completed the 3rd–5th grades. Students will experience Christ centered activities, Bible teaching, and worship. There are also awesome activities to choose from like archery, banana boats, and GaGa Ball. The kids are provided the opportunity to encounter God’s love in a real and tangible way through daily devotionals, thought provoking Bible studies and dynamic worship services.
